Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

OJICA accepts and publishes original cases and in certain cases authorized adaptations.  Submissions are assessed using the following evaluation criteria:

 

  • Contribution of the topic to management broadly defined
  • Richness of the contribution in terms of the goals stated in the mission of OJICA
  • Pedagogical value
  • Quality of the research and writing
  • Potential appeal to audience

 

Submissions should be in English language, although abstracts may be included in other languages of the author’s choice in addition to English.  Reviewing and copy editing is done only in English, and authors are responsible for copy editing of other languages.

 

The author’s name and affiliation should appear on the title page only in order to maintain anonymity during the review process.

 

The title page should contain the following elements:

 

  • Title of article
  • Author’s name, position, and organizational affiliation
  • Email address and/or URL
  • Other contact information (address, telephone number, fax number)

 

Submissions should ordinarily be about 10,000-20,000 words in length, not including tables, appendices, graphs, and other supplementary materials which can be included in the text, along with links to related sites, downloads, etc. References should use the format of one of the following:

 

 

Registration for the website is necessary for submission of manuscripts.

 

Authors can expect to receive feedback on submissions within six weeks during the academic year, and summer vacation periods during July and August.  If six weeks have gone by, authors are encouraged to contact the editor.  

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
